Tenni Skate Park in Redlynch is an awesome and popular skate park in Cairns, with brilliant art work, plenty of space, and is good for all levels and abilities.

Cairns has a number of great skate parks for kids and teens to choose from. The Tenni Skate Park in the Cairns suburb of Redlynch has always been a popular choice for both younger and older kids.

This skate park is suitable for younger kids, when it’s not too busy, and challenging enough for older kids and teens. It can get very busy here at times however, so if your young skater isn’t that confident yet, you will need to come at a quieter time, or they will need to watch out for the faster and no fear kids.

It is really well spaced for boards, scooters and even bikes and it’s brightly coloured and well equipped, with both easy and difficult sections.

In 2018 the Skate park received a fresh coat of paint through the Youth Urban Art Project, an Australian Government and Cairns Regional Council initiative. (Source Cairns Regional Council website).
About 40 local young people participated in free workshops led by professional artists to design and paint murals on the skatepark.(Source Cairns Post). If you look closely you can even see the Kuranda train in the murals.

There are toilets, a shelter, shade and seats here allowing families to stay here for long periods at a time. Often there may be dogs on leads with their families too.
