SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Get the kids inspired and find their creative side at Mount Sheridan Plaza.
Cairns Art Gallery will be at the Plaza for school holidays from January 18 – 22 with different activities daily.
Monday 18 January: Collage: snip, rip, cut and create.
Tuesday 19 January: Sculpture Wonder.
Wednesday 20 January: Portrait Drawing.
Thursday 21 January: Upcycle.
Friday 22 January: Australia Day Paper Plate Crafts.
This will be an open event for children to walk in and out of, we ask that parents let their children attend the art area for no more than an hour at a time to let other children have the opportunity to create.
Have the Slime of your life at Mount Sheridan Plaza with this great kids show from Paramour Theatre!
During each show, contestants will be drawn from the audience and invited to compete in a range of wacky and wild mini-games that involve trivia, a dress-up race, bean bag toss and more.
How quickly can you pull on a pair of undies over your clothes? Are you a good throw with a beanbag? We hope so because the winning team will take home a prize pack, but the losing team gets slimed.
We’ll have two shows daily in Centre court. Run time: 40 minutes. Starting at 10am and 12pm!
Spots are limited so Bookings are essential!
We will be running half day self kayaking and SUP tours down the picturesque Babinda Creek with prices starting from $50. Due to COVID procedures, we will be running scattered times throughout the day, so bookings are essential! Give us a call on 0438 405 661 or send us a message to lock in a time. And YES, we are PET FRIENDLY so don’t forget the dog
Trying scuba diving for the first time is safe and fun with our exciting PADI endorsed program just for kids!
In this half-day program, children will learn the basics of scuba diving and try it for themselves. After a quick training session on land, they’ll be fitted with kid-size scuba equipment, hop into our heated dive pool and try breathing underwater for the first time. No previous experience required! Using the PADI ‘Bubblemaker’ program, Divers Den Scuba Kids is suitable for any kid who’s aged 8-11 years and comfortable in the water.
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place in Australia to see crocodiles up close in a safe & natural environment. Cruise our lagoon and enjoy jumping crocs plus watch our exciting and informative shows, including the famous Croc Attack show!
If you’ve not visited Hartley’s in a while, be sure to make time these School Holidays, you’ll be surprised at how much we have grown and upgraded, with many recently opened and refurbished attractions including our walk-through ‘Bird of Prey Aviary’ in our Cassowary Walk area. It is a wonderful opportunity for photographers as there are so many bird species including Kookaburras, Owls, Ibis, Curlews just to name a few. Once again folks, Hartley’s is famous for crocodiles, but there is much more to see and do, in a tranquil natural World Heritage setting.
