Jazz and Dance Cirque classes take participants on a journey through music, movement and colour, with an experienced teacher helping students to explore their own creativity in an exciting, positive environment.
All classes are designed to build confidence and encourage each individual to reach their full potential.
Ballet is an excellent way to develop strength, balance and posture, while Jazz classes give students the chance to learn classic moves and modern steps. Tap dancing focuses on rhythmic patterns and technical footwork that requires immense concentration, while Dance Cirque combines acrobatics with theatrical expression.
At Dancehouse you can experience any of these wonderful dance forms under the guidance of Julie, a passionate dance instructor who, with over 35 year experience is committed to providing the highest quality tuition for your child.

Dance Cirque at Dancehouse Smithfield in Cairns is an incredibly engaging and entertaining experience for all ages.
It combines the joy of traditional circus activities such as juggling, hula hooping, poi, and an apparatus such as silks, lyra and static trapeze with a unique dance element that can be tailored to each participant’s skill level.
The program works on level cards so everyone progresses at their own pace while learning new techniques and developing skills in a safe environment where participants can explore their limits under guidance and support.
Whether you are a careful beginner or have already mastered some circus skills Dance Cirque provides a challenging and diverse range of activities that focus on well-rounded physical literacy, coordination and spatial awareness.
Not only will students enjoy learning new tricks and expanding their repertoire but also increase their body confidence whilst having fun!

he brings immense joy to the students through her expertise, passion and dedication! She ensures that each class provides individualized attention for every single learner so that they learn the correct technique, tailored to their needs. Julie truly believes that anyone can find joy in dance – be it a professional dancer or an absolute beginner. Her energetic and encouraging attitude inspires many, giving them the confidence to tackle anything that comes their way. We are proud to have such a talented DANCE INSTRUCTOR leading our studio!
