The Hutchings Park and Playground, located in the residential suburb of Port Gardens is the best all ages playground in Port.  There are two separate areas. The new brightly coloured playground is suited for all ages, and there is plenty here for toddlers and younger kids to keep them entertained.  The older playground has a higher swing and slide.

5. Glengarry Big 4

Technically not a playground, this water play park, pool and jumping pillow is part of the Glengarry Big 4 Holiday Park in Port Douglas. We are mentioning this here as it is a cool thing to do with the kids, and the resort allows day visitors to come and use their facilities.

The cost at present (2020) is $15 a person – think of it as an entry ticket to the resort.

Good value for a day on fun! No booking required. From 10am to 6pm daily but excluding public holidays.
